Laboratory of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology
Our laboratory has studied pediatric cancer and focused on studying therapy methods such as chemotherapy, cell and gene therapy, and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation employing samples of related patients. We are intended to develop the most appropriate therapy and apply it for clinical research. The main contents of our research can be presented under the following headings: (i) Development of immune cell gene therapy such as CAR-T (ii) Development of cancer antigen-targeting T cell therapy (iii) Development of personalized hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (iv) Analysis of genetic causes in rare blood, tumor and immune diseases (v) Search for optimal anticancer drug dose based on individual pharmacogenomic information

Research goals

In our Pediatric Hematology-Oncology Laboratory, the top-notch experts collaborate to conduct the best research with the goal of accurate diagnosis of cancer and optimal treatment for each patient. In addition to long treatment experience, we are leading various researches and clinical trials for better treatment. We will continue to develop treatments with fewer side effects, such as immune cell gene therapy, to create a world where pediatric patients can be treated without toxic chemotherapeutic drugs.
