The purpose of Interdisciplinary Program of Cancer Biology is to cultivate the world-class scientists who research about cancer by integrally educating the students about the science regarding cancer, For this, the professors of the College of Medicine, the College of Dentistry, the College of Pharmacy, the College of the Natural Sciences, and the College of Veterinary Science cooperatively educate biochemistry, cellular biology, epidemiology, genetics, immunology, microbiology, pharmacology, molecular biology, pathology, and physiology.
The students who completed the Interdisciplinary Program of Cancer Biology must possess the capabilities as the following:
1. They must have the knowledge regarding the theories and the experiments that are needed in understanding the field of tumor biology and in carrying out the creative research.
2. They must have the research techniques and the capability that are needed in carrying out the research in the field of tumor biology.
3. They must have the capability for carrying out the research in the field of tumor biology independently.
4. They must have an attitude and a sense of duty that they are contributing to the improvement of human health and welfare by eradicating cancer through research on cancer.
