Laboratory of Veterinary Pathology

Laboratory of Veterinary Pathology
Our laboratory was established in 1995 and consists of professor, graduate student and postdoctal researcher. Our lab provides rapid and accurate diagnositc pathology service for local practitioners, animal teaching hospital and zoos. Our lab also provide toxicity test evaluation as well as evaluating the efficacy of animal studies. In addition, our lab perform various translational researchs on human cancer and chronic inflammatory diseases (atherosclerosis or asthma) using appropriate animal models.

Research topics

1. Perform diagnostic pathology service of all animal species and provide proper and accurate preventive measure or treatment guideline.
2. Perform pathology evaluation of safety test inculding carcinogenesis test as well as efficacy of new drug or therapeutic candidate using in vivo study.
3. Develop and establish better translational animal models for studying human cancer and chronic inflammatory diseases (genetically modified mouse or organoid)
4. Study carcinogenesis using animal model.

Research goals
1. Establishment of more rapid and accurate animal diagnostic pathology system.
2. Devlopment and establishment of mouse knock out model and organoid for studying human cancer.
3. Development of better humanized animal model
