Neurosurgical Laboratory of Brain Tumor
The main fields of clinical interest are stereotactic functional neurosurgeries, including Deep brain stimulation, brain tumors, and gamma knife radiosurgery. The laboratory's main interests are in the development of new anticancer drugs and potential therapeutics for various brain diseases, as well as research on tumor development, malignant transformation of brain tumors, and cell biology of neural stem cells.

Research topics

A large part of our research is in the aggregation and banking of thousands of brain tumor tissues received in the operating room to discover early diagnostic and progression markers of tumor development and tumor progression that are correlated with the clinical information of brain tumor patients. In order to study the genomics of brain tumors using Next Generation Sequencin and single cell RNA sequencing, we are conducting primary cell culture of various brain tumors. In addition, research is underway to investigate the fundamental mechanisms in the development of brain tumors using primary cell cultures of various brain tumors.
