Are there any students or young scientists at your institution who are interested
in studying fundamental and emerging topics in cancer research this summer,
with leading scientists from around the world?
If so, please inform them of the great opportunity to attend the International
Summer Program 2009 at Tokyo Medical and Dental University. Selected
participants from Asia will receive financial support to attend ISP 2009 -- we
will provide airfare, accommodations and registration fees to such selected
attendees.
Please note that the deadline for applying for financially-supported attendance
is June 20, 2009.
About the Program:
ISP 2009 will be held from September 7 - 9, at the TMDU campus in Tokyo. All
lectures and events will be held in English. International attendees will have the
chance to make poster presentations as well as attend lectures, symposium
talks and social events. There will be many opportunities for international
students to interact with leading cancer research scientists as well as with other
international students. We hope that this event will be of great importance in
helping students and young scientists develop their careers.
About the Scholarship Opportunity:
We will be providing a number of scholarships to non-Japanese Asian nationals
who are under age 35 and speak English sufficiently to participate in the
conference; the ISP 2009 website has further details on eligibility and the
application procedure.
We would be very grateful if you urge students who you think would benefit
from this experience to send in their application to attend the ISP 2009 on
scholarship.
